Dhaka: On the morning of Eid ul-Adha, citizens of Dhaka witnessed a horrific sight as the streets were flooded with a wave of blood.
Despite Intermittent showers, Dhaka’s citizens went to offer their Eid prayers and carry out animal slaughter.
Due to pathetic state of drainage system and water-logging in the city,the animal sacrifices make the roads run red with blood creating an unusual and gory scene.
As per Dhaka tribune, regardless of the designated spaces to carry out animal slaughter, people performed animal sacrifices on the streets and in front of their homes since the designated spots were too far away from their locations.

Residents strongly criticised the city’s corporations to keep the drainage systems functional before Eid but in vain.
